Why my next bed will only be 1 1/2' wide.

It wasn't my plan to not write for a couple of days and leave the few of you that follow me wondering. Between three kids, all their activities and trying to maintain a home, life got in the way and I didn't have much time to think, let alone write..
We had issues the last couple days with our water/heating system so I've been struggling with that, it seemed like once I got one thing figured out or fixed, then another would screw up, so I'm not going to touch anything for a bit just in case.
I woke up the other day thinking that the next time I need a new bed, I am not investing in another big expensive one. We co-slept with all three kids. We set up cribs and bassinets with intentions of them sleeping in either but mama nursed all three and it was way more convenient for her and baby to be sleeping in the same bed, especially while I was away. There are a lot of mixed reviews on the topic, people say not to because they wont transition into their own bed and lots of other things. But, we have been very lucky, both of the big kids moved into their own beds with no issues. Dec wanted someone to lay with him for a few minutes, at first, when he would go into bed but he was perfectly fine after that and that is ok.
JT still sleeps in our bed, he just turned three a little over a month ago and we are slowing moving him to his own bed/room with one of the other kids, we only have a three bedroom house and three kids. We do have lots of room down stairs to move at least one of them but they are not quite ready to be out of the loop so to speak.
Both P and I have gotten used to sleeping on the outside foot and a half, so in the near future it only makes sense to save money and not buy a "Black Series" king size bed. Obviously I am not being serious and if any of you have or had kids, I'm sure you can relate. JT is three feet tall and somehow manages to turn sideways in his sleep so we are either getting a headbutt or a kick while we are sleeping.
Honestly though, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I am a cuddly person and when either of them wasn't beating us up in our sleep, it was worth it. This is coming from someone who never wanted kids when I was growing up, now they are my best friends, my entire world and I wouldn't want it any other way!
